I had the pleasure of taking portraits of Everett when he turned 6 months, so I was excited to see him for his 1 year/cake smash at my DFW studio to see how much he had changed. Oh boy, he is turning into one handsome little boy. Mom wanted aqua and gray, and I think those colors turned out just beautiful. Do take a minute to scroll through his cake smash session and see how much he really loved eating and destroying his cake.
Isn’t she adorable? I got to take newborn photos of her big brother 2 years ago, so it was nice to do another in-home newborn session at their Southlake home to document baby girls newborn stage. The newborn stage goes by so fast, so it is always fun to freeze those tiny newborn features so you can look back on them as they grow into adorable little humans.
Milo’s in-home newborn session was so wonderful! Big sister was so cooperative and did amazing with her little brother. The whole session just seemed to really fall into place and I am in love with so many of his pictures from his session. One of my new favorite things to do at the end of each session, is to take natural photos of baby as they are waking up. Sometimes they look at me and sometimes they stretch, but most of the time I get to capture some really unique images of the tiny human just being a tiny human.
2016 has been such a great year. This year I decided to highlight some of my favorite custom cake smash sessions that I did in my Dallas Fort Worth in-home studio. I truly loved creating these unique and special set-ups to help each boy and girl celebrate their first birthday. Some sessions ended with the precious 1 year old covered in cake and others may have ended in tears because getting messy was not what they wanted to do. Ha! I can’t wait for 2017 so I can help more little kiddos celebrate their 1st birthdays in style.
